Twilight is perhaps the must see movie for horror fans and socialites alike, as it will be the talk of the town for several weeks after it is released. For those who enjoyed the books and are looking forward to the film, new pictures and even a trailer have been released for the Catherine Hardwicke directed flick which deals with vampire love. The trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight, and in addition to the launch of the trailer, a widget is being released for inclusion on pages such as MySpace and Facebook.

Twilight The Next Harry Potter With A Horror Twist?

Breaking Dawn, the last book in the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer hit shelves earlier in August and has caused quite an uproar among fans looking forward to the movie, and those who are skeptical about the movie being shown to the young audience it is intended for. Admittedly the subject matter is no more controversial than wizards and magic, which the Harry Potter books are famous for, so we could have a new behemoth in the world of Tween movies, this time bearing a “horror” moniker.

The story follows the protagonist of the books, Bella Swan, who is sent to live with her father in dreary Forks, Washington after her mother remarries. Once there, she’s fascinated with one Edward Cullen, who’s stark white appearance isn’t the only startling thing about him and the rest of his family. Bella soon finds out Edward, along with the rest of his “family”, is a vampire and becomes enthralled with Edward, not only because he is her soul mate, but simply because she loves him. While this isn’t the first time someone has fallen in love with a vampire, if the movie stays true to the books, fans will have lots to expect.

Twilight Release Date Changed To Thanksgiving Weekend

Twilight fans rejoice! It appears that the movie originally slated for release on December 12th will actually find itself in theaters on November 21st. With the recent dissapearance of the latest installment in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, from that very weekend, co-chairman and CEO Rob Friedman of Summit felt that Twilight would easily fill the Thanksgiving weekend gap that Harry Potter had now left.

In an article by Variety, Friedman stated that “Their move created an opportunity to bring the movie to fans three weeks earlier. [...They] have continued to show their enthusiasm, from Comic-Con to the giant BREAKING DAWN book sales. We felt we had to take that opportunity.”

It was there that she met the mysterious and beautiful Edward Cullen.

Besides having the ability to see almost directly into her soul and sweep her off her feet, Edward isn’t exactly like other boys. That’s because he’s been around old enough to have been the grandfather to most of the kids he goes to school with. As an immortal vampire, Edward has made an unorthodox decision to get involved with a human. But is she his soul mate?
