August 11, 2008
The latest edition in the Saw series of movies, Saw V, has just had it’s teaser debuted at the San Diego ComicCon held in late July. The teaser has since made it’s way out of the every popular con and onto the internet for all to see. While this will make the 5th in the series of Saw movies, there are still plenty of fans dying to see the latest installment. Unfortunately, as this is just a trailer, we don’t get to see nearly as much as one would hope. However, there is at least one trap shown in the teaser that is sure to get you thinking about what else is in store for movie goers later this year.
Continuing the tradition of releasing these movies on Halloween, Saw V is expected to hit theaters October 24th 2008. Saw V will be production designer David Hackl directorial debut, with the script having been written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, both of who wrote Feast and Saw IV together.
The Frog Brothers Are Back In Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
July 29, 2008
The 1987 hit, The Lost Boys is back and straight to DVD with the July 29th release of Lost Boys 2: The Tribe. The story, paying homage to the 20th anniversary of this legendary film, finds a brother and sister living in what appears to be a quiet and peace surf town in California. But after getting mixed up with a gang of surfers, they realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
The Vampires of Luna Bay are quick to take out anyone who crosses paths with them. The siblings, Chris (Hilgenbrink) and Nicole (Reeser) Emerson have lost their parents, leaving them to live with their Aunt Jillian. It doesn’t take long for them to get mixed up with the local Vampires, leaving Chris on a quest to kill Shane (Sutherland) to prevent his sister’s transformation after she unwittingly drank vampire blood.
But it wouldn’t be the Lost Boys without the Frog Brothers, so prepare for cameos from Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander.

July 28, 2008
For over 30 years, the cult classic that is “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” has been relived countless times on midnight screenings by those oh so crazed fans. With the popularity so high, it’s a wonder why someone hasn’t stepped in to capitalize on this yet. Apparently MTV feels the same way.
The news/rumor so far is that MTV plans to remake The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The remake will use the original screen play, but as of yet, no casting decisions have been made. Lou Adler, executive producer of the original movie will be heading up this remake as well.
With such a huge following, the goal here is to bring more into this cult classic while not offending the existing fans. Can MTV do it? We’ll have to see as more is revealed about the casting choices.
