Lindsay Lohan set to play Sharon Tate

 has been offered a role as iconic actress Sharon Tate just four months after being let go from the Linda Lovelace biopic because of her problems with violating probation and being admitted to the Betty Ford Center.

She is in talks to appear in the upcoming film Eyes of a Dreamer about murderer Charles Manson who killed Tate, who was pregnant at the time and married to Roman Polanski, in August of 1969.

Her representatives have not responded to request for comments but the Brad Wyman produced film is looking for an actress that audiences would be familiar with and could relate to having a troubled background because Tate was a movie star and someone with Lohan’s background could be very relatable.

The horrific Tate murders will be quite gruesome in the film, with the filmmakers saying they intend to go all the way in showing the murders in the film. The director has said he will have to direct actors to do some of the craziest stuff they have ever done and it will have to be done in a manner to not turn people away but giving you a feel of being there.

It is said that Lohan wants the role with filming scheduled to start by July 15 which could turn out to be a problem for Lohan if she is facing a prison term because of her approaching trial. Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 22 and that appearance will determine if the case goes to trial or not.  So if she were to be sent to prison the question is whether the director would have to offer the role to another actor.
