Halloween 3D looks like it will go ahead

The latest installment for the Halloween franchise had been put on the back burner for a time but it apparently looks like Michael Myers will now be charging ahead once again welding his knife in a Halloween 3D that will be released on October 26 2012.

There is still no answer as to who the director is, what is the script that will be used or anything of the sort. In 2009 there had been a version alive with the green light to go ahead with the My Bloody Valentine and Drive Angry team consisting of Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier but the last thing anyone heard about them was the Hellraiser reboot was keeping them occupied.

If Farmer and Lussier’s script is used and a new director is used then the 3D version will pick up right after the sequel of Zombie. Lussier told MTV last year he wrote the film to start right after Rob’s ended and stripping Michael back to like he was in the John Carpenter days. Then he said the story is picked up a year later when Halloween comes around and everything starts all over again.

He said the Malek Assad the franchise owner for Halloween was happy with the script put there are people that are above our pay scale that make the decisions on what script is used.

Halloween 3D was first pulled so Farmer and Lussier could pay attention to Drive Angry. Will this now happen to Hellraiser in Halloween’s favour. Speculation is that the next Halloween, Halloween 3 will include Michael Myers and will not have a really annoying song or include an evil toymaker.
