Quarantine (2008)

Director John Erick Dowdle brings you the terrifying tale of a news story gone wrong. Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) have been coupled up with the Los Angeles Fire Station for the night. During their stay, a 911 call is made, bringing them to a small apartment building with the police already at the scene. Blood curdling screams from one of the apartment units has started to scare the other residents.

The crew finds out a little too late that a rare strain of the rabies virus is the cause behind this, leaving the completely locked in by the CDC under quarantine. Things start to go horribly wrong as the residents start getting viciously attacked. All communication to the inside has been completely cut off, leaving those inside wondering what exactly is attacking everyone and why no official information is being relayed in to them.

While not necessarily horror, the story of Max Payne is definitely one to keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie adaptation of Rockstar Games epic story is set to hit theaters October 17th nation wide.

Mark Wahlberg takes the lead role as Max Payne, a unlucky cop who is still trying to get over the death of his family. As a detective, work doesn’t stop for family troubles, so Payne is force to stay on task and continue his investigation of several murders around town. Things begin to heat up as a deadly assassin looking for revenge (Mila Kunis) is loose in the same exact city.
