Twilight (2008)

The story follows Bella Swan, a girl who has always been a little bit different than everyone else and couldn’t care less as to whether she fit in or not. Going to high school in Phoenix, Arizona made her stand out quite a bit as she didn’t exactly pull off the fake and trendy life style that her classmates had. Bella’s life to a drastic turn after her mother remarried and sent her to live with her father in the humdrum town of Forks, Washington. It was there that she met the mysterious and beautiful Edward Cullen.

Besides having the ability to see almost directly into her soul and sweep her off her feet, Edward isn’t exactly like other boys. That’s because he’s been around old enough to have been the grandfather to most of the kids he goes to school with. As an immortal vampire, Edward has made an unorthodox decision to get involved with a human. But is she his soul mate?

With the latest book in the series, Breaking Dawn, having just hit the shelves, the interest in the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight has gone through the roof. With a December 12th release date, fans are starting to get geared up for the retelling of the story that started it all.
