Treevenge Hits Select Theaters

With plenty of time to scare before this Christmas season, Rob Cotterill and Jason Eisener are proud to bring us a wonderful tale of holiday gore lasting only 15 minutes long.

The horror/comedy Treevenge is exactly what it sounds like. After years of being cut down to sit in our homes for only a few weeks at a time, these trees are lashing out at the world around them for the pain and punishment they’ve been through. They’ve been hacked at, sawed out of their roots, and dragged away from there family only to be sold into the metal tree holders of slavery. But that ends this holiday season.

The trees have decided that they’re not going to take it anymore. And what better time for that then when you’ve already hung them up in your house all nice and glistening. This Christmas, the trees will be decorated with gooey bits and organs from everyone celebrating this jolly season.

While we all won’t be able to see this ultra gory 15 minute long film that cleaned up house at the Montreal’s Fantasia festival (Audience Award for Best Short). It will be playing at plenty of other film festivals in the coming months, so make sure to track where the closest playing is near you at their official website.
