The Box (2009)

If someone told you that all you had to do was simply press a button and you would receive $1 million, would you even think twice about pressing it? But what if there was a catch? For Norma Lewis (Cameron Diaz), Arthur Lewis (James Marsden), and their young child, their was a catch. A very deadly one.

Based on the short story written by Richard Matheson, The Box, follows the story of a mysterious box left to the Lewis’s by an unknown stranger (Frank Langella). While that box does offer the reward of $1 million to whoever presses the button, the consequence is that another human being somewhere in the world that they don’t know will die at the exact same moment that they press it. With only 24 hours to have the box within their possession, the Lewis’s are facing off against the moral dilemma of a life time.

When the clock strikes zero, will it have been time that ticked away or their conscience?

Directed by Richard Kelly, The Box is set to hit theaters everywhere on March 20th, 2009.
