Stone Village Fast Tracks LOBO For October Production

For those of you reading the title and getting excited that the Lobo in reference is the DC Comics super-villain-turned-hero, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Then again, if you’re hanging on to the idea that Lobo will have his own movies, you’ve got some issues to address as it is!

Lobo, the new lycanthrope horror film following in the positive light that The Wolfman, American Werewolf series, and the Underworld series, has just been acquired by Stone Village.

The story follows a man who, through the photos and a letter from his mother’s will, has decided to head out in search of his roots. His trip to the Brazil has lead him to discover a small town of lycanthropes that have more in common with him then just their fight for survival.

The script and upcoming comic book prequel to the film where written by Dikran Ornekian and Ryan Colluci. The film has already been fast tracked for production to start as early as October 15th, with Ezna Sands as the director.

Lobo is intended to be a trilogy, so expect the first film to be more of a build up then anything else. It appears that just like Dog Solders, we’ll see this movie as more a revelation/horror movie with Werewolves rather than a Werewolf movie full of revelation and horror.
